Leslie and I were in Apartment 22, and I was splitting a rotisserie chicken I had bought for us at the Coronado Super 99.
As we were eating, my brother started talking about Bitcoin. He asked me if I knew anything about it. I told him I had never heard about it. At that time, I had no recollection that Natasha, Anastasia, and myself had produced it a year or so earlier.
Leslie then started telling me how Bitcoin was good but had limitations. He said he had an idea for a payment network that did not have the limitations that Bitcoin had.
He called it Lightning, he said. I said, “Lightning, as in a Lightning Network?” He said. “Yeah!” I laughed at him! He then went on to explain to me how his “Lightning Network” would work. I laughed at him again, and he just shook his head at me.
